Who are The Rockerati?
David McCarthy
David McCarthy is at the heart and soul of The Rockerati, singing, writing, playing guitar and sometimes everything else in the studio too, just like his musical hero Dave Edmunds used to do in Rockfield.
Musical life before the band includes radio airplay across the world for various releases, as well as sessions for John Peel, a BBC R2 studio set broadcast live to three million listeners and much more.
Onstage David has supported U2 and REM, appeared at European festivals including Bestival and Sziget and been called "a truly star performer" by NME.
With a little help from his friends, his idea of the perfect 21st century rock'n'roll band comes together in The Rockerati.
Seamus Murphy
Seamus Murphy is well-known as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist around the UK's Midlands. As owner and in-house producer at the all-analogue Pennington Street Studio, he ran a rural recording facility that was very similar to Rockfield in the 70s.
Several of Seamus' songs feature on the forthcoming second Rockerati album and he also plays the drums.
Billy Terrison
Billy Terrison is a young drummer whose effortless playing style has the true spirit of rock'n'roll. Mastering a shuffle beat is something that many never manage to achieve, whereas it comes so easily to him.
Billy appears on several tracks on the forthcoming second Rockerati album.
Justin Welch
Justin Welch played drums on debut album 'Waterloo Sunrise'. Known for his roles with Elastica, Suede and currently Jesus and Mary Chain, Justin is one of the few modern drummers who really understands how to play that all-important rock'n'roll shuffle.
Michael Horsham
Michael Horsham played, sang and wrote some songs on debut album 'Waterloo Sunrise'. As David's long-time friend and musical collaborator, his contributions helped set up the basis of the band's sound.
